I am a 3rd Generation Mexican-American, navigating a muddled ancestral history and a past as hazy as a distant horizon. Diagnosed with epilepsy at 24, my journey began with the first signs of focal seizures at the tender age of 12. Hindered by the absence of necessary medical attention, I endured the weight of stress, depression, and anxiety, often battling gaslighting from within and from those closest to me, all due to a lack of awareness.

Yet, amidst the turmoil, I found resilience and flourished, like a shot of espresso bursting through the constraints of life's tight spaces. This concentrated inspiration propelled me to excel in diverse areas, nurturing my talents and shaping me into a resilient, strong-willed individual. Today, I am an artist, a networking agent, a consultant, and the manager of a café partnered with one of the best coffee bean suppliers in Arizona. 

My story is one of triumph, a testament to overcoming adversity and thriving despite the odds. It serves as a guiding light for others grappling with epilepsy or similar challenges, offering a source of empathy and understanding. Through it all, I've come to realize the profound influence of our environment on shaping our identities. Our bodies, like molds held together by gravity, are alive in the atmosphere, molded by our thoughts and aspirations. 'As above, so below.'

Time flows through us, reverberating forward, constructing a staircase of opportunity, preserving our dreams for the future. Just as our thoughts and goals define us, our coming opportunities are the dreams we've nurtured, waiting to be realized. Amidst the complexity of my muddled history, I embrace my Latin descent as a refreshing cocktail of diverse influences, shaping me into who I am today.

Construyo redes de apoyo mutuo  a través de pasatiempos y metas

Soy mexico-estadounidense de tercera generación, navego por una historia ancestral confusa y un pasado tan nebuloso como un horizonte distante. Diagnosticado con epilepsia a los 24 años, mi viaje comenzó con los primeros signos de convulsiones focales a la tierna edad de 12 años. Obstaculizado por la falta de atención médica necesaria, soporté el peso del estrés, la depresión y la ansiedad, a menudo luchando contra la cordura emocional desde dentro y desde aquellos más cercanos a mí, todo debido a la falta de conciencia.

Sin embargo, en medio del caos, encontré resiliencia y salí adelante, como un disparo de espresso que estalla a través de las restricciones de los estrechos espacios de la vida. Esta inspiración concentrada me impulsó a destacar en diversas áreas, nutriendo mis talentos y convirtiéndome en un individuo resistente y decidido. Hoy, soy artista, agente de redes, consultor y gerente de un café en la comunidad asociado con uno de los mejores proveedores de granos de café en Arizona.

Mi historia es una de triunfo, un testimonio de superar la adversidad y prosperar a pesar de las probabilidades. Sirve como una luz guía para otros que luchan contra la epilepsia o desafíos similares, al ofrecer una fuente de empatía y comprensión. A través de todo esto, he llegado a darme cuenta de la profunda influencia de nuestro entorno en la formación de nuestras identidades. Nuestros cuerpos, como moldes unidos por la gravedad, están vivos en la atmósfera, forjados por nuestros pensamientos y aspiraciones. 'Así en la Tierra como en el infierno'.

El tiempo fluye a través de nosotros, reverberando hacia adelante, construyendo una escalera de oportunidades, preservando nuestros sueños hacia el futuro. Así como nuestras ideas y metas nos definen, las oportunidades venideras son los esos sueños que hemos cultivado, esperando ser realizados. En medio de la complejidad de mi historia confusa, me adhiero a mi descendencia latina como un cóctel refrescante de diversas influencias, moldeándome en quien ahora soy.
